Since 2010 MES has been implementing the Midwinter Waterfowl Census in Prespa as part of one of the largest and longest lasting monitoring programs in the world – the International Waterbird Census (IWC).

This activity will provide relevant breeding population size data and the species’ responses to their most immediate threats.
