On the occasion of Ecology Day and the European Mobility Week, today the Municipality of Resen hosted an educational workshop that brought together more than 150 students from primary schools in Prespa!
The event began with a presentation dedicated to the importance of ecology and sustainable methods of mobility and transport, after which the students had the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge through an interactive quiz with participation by three representatives from each school.
With this activity, the young students showed their awareness of the importance of environmental protection and sustainable living. We believe that precisely through such initiatives we are building the future of an environmentally conscious and sustainable Prespa!
The workshop was carried out within the project “Prespa Green & Blue Initiative: Empowering Conservation through Research, Education and Communication” funded by the European Union under the programme “EU for Prespa” and co-funded by the Prespa–Ohrid Nature Trust (PONT). Project implementation partners are the Macedonian Ecological Society, the Municipality of Resen, Galicica National Park, the Society for the Protection of Prespa (SPP) from the Republic of Greece, and the Protection and Preservation of Natural Environment in Albania (PPNEA) from the Republic of Albania. The implementation of project activities is supported by the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning of the Republic of North Macedonia and Pelister National Park.
