The Macedonian Ecological Society organized a workshop for the revision of the “Bat Action Plan for Prespa,” which took place on May 7–8 at Hotel Shator in Bitola.
The workshop began with a presentation by Marina Radonjić from Montenegro, who provided a detailed overview of the revision process for the Action Plan for the next five years. This was followed by sessions in which participants discussed and proposed activities related to research, monitoring, protection, and raising public awareness about bat habitats and colonies in the transboundary Prespa region.
In addition to members of the Macedonian Ecological Society, the event was attended by representatives from Galichica National Park and Pelister National Park, as well as from partner organizations PPNEA from Albania and SPP from Greece.
These activities are part of the “Prespa Project – Conserving the Biodiversity of Transboundary Prespa,” supported by the Prespa Ohrid Nature Trust (PONT), the Aage V. Jensen Foundation an EuroNatur.
