During the first day, a review was conducted of the activities within the ongoing project “PrespaNet III – Biodiversity Conservation in Transboundary Prespa”, supported by the Prespa Ohrid Nature Trust (PONT), the Aage V. Jensen Foundation, and EuroNatur. In this context, participants assessed what has been accomplished so far within the project, as well as what is planned for implementation in the upcoming year, across four programme areas: “Water and Wetland Landscape Conservation”, “Consolidating Prespa Conservation Interests”, “Combating Priority Threats” and “Reinforcing Local Engagement.”

The second day was dedicated to discussions on the long-term development of the network and its work in Prespa, addressing issues related to the preparation of future projects, the revision and upgrading of PrespaNet’s strategic vision, the development of a joint communication strategy for the network, as well as matters concerning the future functioning of the transboundary “Prespa Park” at the trilateral institutional level.
The meeting provided an opportunity to once again reaffirm our shared commitment and mission to protect and preserve the natural heritage and biodiversity of our common home – the transboundary Prespa Region!
