As part of the project “PrespaNet Project III: Conserving Biodiversity in Transboundary Prespa,” funded by the Prespa Ohrid Nature Trust (PONT), the procurement of GPS transmitters is planned for the purpose of monitoring the movements of great cormorants (from the great cormorant colony on Golem Grad Island) in Lake Prespa.
The devices should meet the following specifications:
- Equipped with a barometric sensor.
- Powered by solar batteries.
- Capable of connecting to a web portal or application for data storage and retrieval.
- Feature a backpack attachment method suitable for the birds.
