The Macedonian Ecological Society will award scholarships of up to €400 per month to secondary school graduates from Prespa who will enroll in university to study ecological, biological, forestry and agricultural sciences.
The scholarship programme is intended for secondary school students from the Prespa region and aims to address the local shortage of professionals in natural sciences related to nature conservation and environmental protection. In this way, future students will be able to acquire knowledge and skills that will enable them to actively contribute to strengthening local capacities for nature conservation in the Prespa region.
In addition to the financial support provided to selected students, the Macedonian Ecological Society will also include them in its mentorship programme, through which they will gain practical and field experience focused on the research and protection of species and habitats in Prespa.
More information about the scholarship programme, the application process, and the selection criteria can be obtained by interested high school students and their parents at the local office of the Macedonian Ecological Society in Resen, or via email at the following addresses: zaec@mes.org.mk and eftimovski@mes.org.mk.
