This weekend marked the successful completion of the 14th edition of Tour de Galicica – a traditional cycling and hiking event in the Prespa region that has been bringing together nature lovers, outdoor enthusiasts, and adventurers for more than a decade.

What began in 2013 as a sincere expression of love for nature by a group of local enthusiasts from the Prespa Bike association has grown into an event that this year brought together more than 250 participants from around the world. In addition to numerous visitors from North Macedonia, the event welcomed nature lovers from Argentina, the United States, Canada, Mexico, Turkey, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Hungary, Serbia, Slovakia, Ukraine, the Netherlands, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, and Portugal.
This year, participants had the opportunity to experience the unique natural values of Galicica National Park through a cycling tour across the mountain, ascents to its highest peaks, Magaro and Kota F10, as well as a visit to Golem Grad Island.

For us, it is a particular honour and pleasure to have been part of this authentic story for several years now - a story that has gradually developed into a true brand of Prespa. In this regard, the official Tour de Galicica shirts for this year’s edition were sponsored through the European Union-funded project "Prespa: Green and Blue Initiative", implemented by the Macedonian Ecological Society, the Municipality of Resen, and Galicica National Park within the framework of the "EU for Prespa" programme.
Congratulations to our friends from Prespa Bike for yet another flawlessly organized edition! We wish you even more participants, new friendships, and even greater success in the years ahead. Until the next Tour de Galicica!
